Job Description:

The Raisbeck Career Services Center in the College of Business at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for a Program Coordinator I or II to act as a Career Coordinator for the College of Business. This position is responsible for: advising students, administrators, faculty, staff and alumni on issues and trends related to employment; assisting in the marketing of office services (and Business students) to encourage employers to recruit on campus and will report on department activities and deliver complex reports and data critical to mission. As needed this position will serve as a leader of BUS AD 203X. In addition to the duties above, if hired at the Program Coordinator II level the position will be responsible for training, developing, and coordinating instructors of the BUS AD 203X course as well as evaluating and developing curriculum, collecting and reporting assessment measures, and researching developing and emerging concepts and technologies in career development, professionalism, and job seeking. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership abilities along with excellent written and oral communication skills. The candidate will be capable of independent judgment, taking initiative, and working collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.


Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree and related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience totaling 6 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position. The requirements above are for the Program Coordinator I. For the Program Coordinator II: Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree and 2 years of related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience totaling 8 years. Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s Degree or Higher Leadership experience Public Speaking experience Demonstrated knowledge of legal aspects of recruitment, employment benefits, and legalities in all aspects of the job search Experience which demonstrates knowledge of resume preparation, interviewing, and job search theory and practice Demonstrated experience using computer applications including Excel Demonstrated experience managing employment relationships Experience in Student Development, IR, Counseling, Business or related subject
