Job Description:

The Career Services Office at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse is searching for a dynamic and energetic full time Career Advisor who has a commitment to multiculturism, diversity and inclusive excellence. Join an experienced, fun and dedicated team committed to serving students. Position responsibilities include administering full range career programming and services for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni associated with specific majors in the College of Science and Health, (Non-Teaching majors in Exercise Science, Public and Community Health, Recreation). Assist students and alumni with individual career development, and job search needs; coordinate career development and exploration programming and initiatives; network with employers and other career services professionals to discuss hiring practices, hiring trends, work procedures, and potential jobs and internships.

Job Requirements:

Required qualifications include Master's Degree in Student Affairs Administration or related field and Higher Education or related experience. Preferred qualifications include 2 years of full-time, professional experience, Global Career Development Facilitator Certification, experience with college students in a career advising capacity, as well as background in Exercise Sport Science, Recreation Management, Therapeutic Recreation and/or Community Health. Strong written and verbal communication skills and being a team player who can effectively collaborate with colleagues across campus and the community are essential to this role.
