Job Description:

The Director of Academic and Program Services for the Full-Time, Broad MBA Program at Michigan State University has the following responsibilities: Establish short and long-term strategies, goals and objectives to manage key result areas and ensure success of academic and program services; Develop sustainable processes to improve efficiencies and drive continuous improvement in areas of responsibility; Manage academic advising, course scheduling, enrollment and degree certification processes for MBA Students; Manage program support services and events such as orientation, graduation, professional development workshops, day-to-day problem resolution; Develop and maintain effective relationships with the department chairs, MBA faculty and deans to facilitate optimal scheduling, teaching assignments, and to engage in curriculum development; Manage internal and external surveys; Provide guidance to student association leaders; Supervise professional, clerical, and graduate student employees; Manage program budgets. The Director reports to the Associate Dean of the MBA Programs and works collaboratively with the directors of other Broad Master’s program directors, as well as the Full Time MBA admissions and career services directors and their teams, along with the faculty and administration to enhance the quality and prominence of the MBA program. The position is a full-time, annual year position and is available immediately; salary is commensurate with degree and experience.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications: MBA or other relevant master’s degree is strongly preferred. Five years of experience in graduate education or business is preferred. Candidates should be knowledgeable about current trends, challenges and opportunities in graduate business education, and have a vision and enthusiasm for leadership in a dynamic business environment. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, writing, presentation, supervisory and technology skills. The ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects efficiently within a fast-paced environment is essential. Some evening and weekend work is required.
