Program Coordinator – Career Center Coordinator

Job Description:

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a Program Coordinator position for the Career Center Department of our Center for Corporate Learning. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, located in Blue Ash, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 6100 students.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide career related resources to students one-on-one to help them with job-related skills such as: resume and cover letter writing, job search strategies, interviewing basics, networking, etc.

  • Coordinate Walk-in hours

  • Develop and implement student workshops on a variety of job preparation topics

  • Make classroom presentations to bring Career Center awareness to students

  • Work with other departments on campus to increase visibility of Career Center

  • Work with alumni to provide career related resources and assistance

  • Create a Peer Career Advising program and oversee those students

  • Revise existing materials to distribute to students

  • Maintain student database to keep accurate records of interactions

  • Collaborate with the Experiential Learning Coordinator to connect students with employers

  • Assist with Career Fair and other events as needed.

Job Description: Under general supervision from a designated administrator, plan, design, evaluate, modify and coordinate programs for a department or college.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 1 year experience; OR associate degree with 3 years experience; OR 5 years experience. Experience must be in program coordination. Position Qualification: Excellent customer service skills that can be applied to resolve users issues; at least one year of supervision to include the completion of performance reviews; work without close supervision; and work in a high stress environment.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Masters degree preferred

  • Experience working with college students in in a career-oriented capacity

  • Higher education experience preferred

  • Strong multi-tasking skills

  • Organized, flexible and adaptable

  • Ability to work one-on-one with students as well as address larger groups

  • Experience with program development and coordination

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Some experience with planning/facilitating events

  • Ability to create working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines
