Funmilayo Ojikutu

Funmilayo works with undergraduate students seeking internships at Northwestern University’s School of Communication. She partners with faculty and alumni to provide career development opportunities through modular curriculum. In addition, she assists in planning EPICS programs including networking events, international seminars, and internship award programs. Funmilayo earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Shenandoah University and her M.B.A. from Willamette University. She currently serves on the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee and serves as a guest speaker for Northwestern Academy. Funmilayo started her career in higher education at the University of Arizona before moving to Northwestern.

Michael is a dedicated and passionate career services professional with a “student first” mindset and a 15-year track record of advising, empowering and delivering results for students in pursuit of their career objectives. As a multi-faceted career strategist, he has managed employer and alumni relations, created effective student curriculum and programming, and advised and mentored a diverse pool of students through their recruiting journey. Michael is an experienced leader and consummate team player who has built effective and engaged teams while creating impactful relationships with employers, alumni, and University constituencies.
