Job Description:

The Assistant Director positions are full-time (100%) 12-month appointments in The Career Center, a unit of Student Affairs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Assistant Directors respond to student needs, facilitate appropriate and timely service delivery (in person and virtual); conduct individual career counseling appointments; assess learning and service outcomes; interpret assessment instruments; plan and present programs and workshops; coordinate events and activities; utilize career technologies; develop print and virtual resources; and have direct contact with students on a daily basis in a variety of settings. The Assistant Director - Campus Recruiting and Job/Internship Preparation provides leadership for campus recruiting events/services and job/internship preparation services and resources, as a member of the Career Connections team. The position specifically works with employers, manages on campus recruiting, leads the mock interview program, and provides services and resources related to students’ preparation and search for job/internship positions. The Assistant Director - Campus Engagement and Academic Outreach provides leadership for campus engagement and academic outreach, as a member of the Career and Pre-Professional Development team. The position specifically focuses on outreach to academic departments and courses, student affairs units, and other campus partners with an emphasis on engaging first and second year students in career development programming and services.
