Diversity Advancement Scholarship
The Diversity Advancement Committee of the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers (Midwest ACE) is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for graduate students in Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Human Resources or a related field. Recent graduates in their first year of employment in Career Services or Human Resources may also apply.
This scholarship will allow the recipient to attend and present at the Midwest ACE Annual Conference, network with current professionals in the field, attend workshops and seminars for professional development, report on their experience in the Midwest ACE newsletter, and much more. Recipients also receive a complimentary year of membership.
Applications for the Diversity Advancement Scholarship open in the spring of each year.
Michigan State University
Tammison currently works at the Career Services Network at Michigan State University. Her favorite work activity has been training and supervising graduate students as they advise students on career issues. She is also a bit of a career theory aficionado! Tammison is a certified Career Development Facilitator instructor, having completed the NCDA training in Clinical Supervision for Career Counselors and Other Practitioners. She is also MBTI certified, and certified to train Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT). She is a member of the National Career Development Association and the Society of Vocational Psychology. Tammison received her master’s in counseling psychology from Avila University. She is pursuing her doctorate in counselor education and supervision with a specialty in trauma and crisis. In her spare time, Tammison works as part of a therapy dog team with her toy poodle, Osage, and advocates for rare disease awareness.
