Describe your past experiences that will help you be successful in this role:
I have over almost 20 years of career advising and employer relations and development experience in small and mid-size private and large public university career centers. I have held top and key leadership roles in various regional and national organizations, including NACE and MwACE as well as memberships in SoACE and SHRM. I have presented and co-presented in national webinars, presented at local, regional and national conferences and have published articles pertaining to employer relations and development. In addition, I also have extensive experience in developing strategic plans, chairing conferences and raising revenue in development and advancement areas.
Brief paragraph on why you would be the ideal candidate for this role:
I believe I have the leadership and experience that is required for the position of Director of Advancement & Communications. With my extensive history of directing employer relations and developing communications strategic plans, I believe that I have the leadership skills and experience to continue to advance the goals and mission of MwACE in this time of change in higher education.
What goals do you hope to accomplish during your term:
I would like to work more strategically with MwACE committees to develop a strategic MwACE marketing plan and look at new and innovative ideas on how to market MwACE to generate additional memberships from both colleges/universities and employers, our Annual Conference, webinars, publications as well as explore and develop ideas for new initiatives, such as targeted professional development workshops and seminars and more electronic communications such as blogs.
