Advise students and alumni regarding a variety of career development and job search concerns. Coordinate on-campus recruiting activities for selected employers and serves as a resource to all employers. Develop and coordinate student programming and experiential learning initiatives. Identify specific needs to provide services to students seeking further education and student veterans.
Master's degree in student personnel, counseling, human resources, higher education administration, MBA or related field. One year of advising, counseling, recruitment, human resources, employer engagement, or related experience. Knowledge and background in survey methodology and statistical treatment. Marketing and social media knowledge and experience. Strong (verbal and written) communication, time management and organizational skills. Must be able to balance multiple and varied tasks, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with a diverse constituency of individuals. Technical expertise in analyzing and presenting data. Capable of representing the Center and Purdue University well to internal and external contacts. Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook e-mail, internet-based media and other software packages. A background check is required for employment in this position.
