Senior Assistant Director for Career Counseling and Campus Outreach

The Senior Assistant Director is a full-time (100%) 12-month appointment in The Career Center, a unit of Student Affairs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Senior Assistant Director contributes to the vision and strategic planning of The Career Center, provides leadership for Career Counseling and Campus Outreach as part of the Career and Pre-Professional Development team; assesses learning and service outcomes, interprets assessment instruments/admission tests, responds to student needs; facilitates appropriate and timely services in multiple delivery modes; and coordinates services/resources for students, campus partners, professional staff, and outside constituencies related to Career Counseling and Campus Outreach.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION: Master’s degree required in counseling, educational administration/leadership, human resources, communication, or related field. Counseling degree strongly preferred. Three years of professional work experience required, including career counseling, leadership of career and/or pre-professional development programs, and outreach to campus constituents.
