Future Trends in College Career Services

Economic changes, technological advances, and generational trends have spurred major paradigm shifts in the delivery of career services in higher education in the US and around the world. New economic pressures, higher expectations from stakeholders, and increased government scrutiny over the value of higher education have created a unique environment and opportunity for college career centers to reinvent their models and redefine personal and professional success for their stakeholders, including students and employers. Based on extensive research that involved benchmark studies and interviews with various constituent groups from various colleges and employers, Dr. Dey will discuss the history and emerging trends in college recruiting and career services and provide a framework and strategies for reinventing models of career and professional development in higher education and the employment of college graduates. These trends have been discussed in a recent LinkedIn Pulse article title "10 Future Trends in College Career Services."
