Job Description:

NEIU’s Career Development Center is seeking a qualified individual to coordinate and develop an employer relations program, develop a system of developing partnerships and maintaining employer relationships. Position responsibilities will include developing on-campus events for employers and coordinating an on-campus interview program. Career advising, guidance and counseling to current students, alumni along with liaison responsibilities to designated academic departments, special programs, satellite campuses and non-traditional degree program. The candidate will work as a member of the Career Development Center staff team contributing to the effectiveness, visibility and outreach of the Career Development Center within the campus community and surrounding communities.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Student Development, Counseling, Education, Human Resource Development or related degree. One to Three years of experience in the Career Development area, preferably in employer relations management. Strong Communication skills (oral and writing) and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals in a timely manner. MS Office Applications skills and data base management. Experience developing presentations for students, faculty, and employers and the ability to develop career development outreach programs. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
