Job Description

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is conducting a national search for the position of Associate Director, Career Development in the Office of Career Services. This is a full-time 12-month appointment reporting to the Director of Career Services with an anticipated start date of September 2017. This position directs the career development team in the management of resources and setting operating policies for career counseling and career development within the Office of Career Services. The Associate Director serves as a senior member of the management team and serves as a subject matter expert by providing professional and technical knowledge in the field of career development. The candidate will be an excellent collaborator and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong planning, presentation, and organizational skills are necessary for the role.

 



Job Requirements 

A minimum of a Master’s degree required in counseling, social work or related field. A minimum of five years’ work experience in career services required. Master Career Counselor (MCC) designation, National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Social Worker required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Licensed as Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.
